Four Charts That Show Things Are Getting Better

Charts courtesy of the Federal Reserve showing longer term trends (six months or longer) that should remain positive for the economy.  I'm not necessarily interested in the shortest term here.  For example I know that GDP declined in the 4th Quarter last year.  What I'm more concerned with is the longer term trends.

More people are working....


CPI has remained stable......




Jobless claims have trended down since the recession ended.....


Real GDP has trended positive {however latest downturn is a worry and GDP has not trended in a stable positive manner or generated consistent long term growth}.
